I started out of shape and didn't use the bands for the first 2 months- with in 5 months I was down to a size 4 and have kept the weight off even though the last 2 months I have only worked out 1 or 2 times a week at most. Tyra from Tennessee -  I am a Tae Bo fan and an even bigger Boot Camp and Boot Camp Elite fan. Before the boot camp series I was a cardio only type of gal. Initially, I did not like Boot Camp because it was so much more challenging with the bands but these workouts have truly changed my body. I got really serious and trimmed back my eating to where it is normal because I tend to overeat. By doing that AND bootcamp, I lost 15 lbs very quickly during March 2005. After a few weeks of eating well, I went back to overeating but I did not gain the weight back. I do tae bo faithfully, 5-9 times per week. In October, I kept overeating but because I moved, I gained the weight back. Tae Bo kept me 15 lbs lighter and several inches smaller despite my eating. I am just now getting back to a place where I am exercising consistently and am realizing that I NEED tae bo in order to lose this last 30 lbs that I need to lose.
One of the things that I really like about Boot Camp is that it can be as easy or difficult as you need it to be. Take away the bands for an easier workout. If you are more advanced, make sure you don't stop during the reps when using the bands. He always pushes us beyond our limits.
The other thing I love about Tae Bo is Billy Blanks. He is SO encouraging and has often said things that really inspire me to continue the workout or to get up and do my workout each day. Because he believes in what he does so much, you can tell that he really believes in you.
Tae Bo changes your life. It makes you want to work out because you like to workout, not just to lose weight.

Mark Z -  Don't listen to the review written below by some assclown named John Davis. He is obvioulsy an ignorant tool. Billy's Boot Camp series are AWESOME! I am a former semi-pro athlete (kickboxer and track and field) and even I get a great and challenging workout from the Boot Camp series. I have also tried the Power 90 series that the other reviewer praised, and found them to be a wast of time and the instructor in those videos (Tony Horton) is nothing more than a Billy Blanks wanna-be. My advice, whether you're a man or woman, you will see the best results of your life from Billy's Boot Camp! |
R. Norton -  Billy's Boot Camp is amazing! Despite what another review said about it being "too hard if you're not in shape" is phooey. If getting into shape is your goal, these DVDs will definitely give you what you want. Unlike alot of workout videos, this one literally (and physically!) kicks your a**. Now if you want some slow mundane workout with little calorie burn, then stick with Leslie Sansone and walk it off. But bet this if you're looking for a fun and intense workout that burns almost 500 calories in 50 minutes!!! I love Billy Blanks and what he has done for my body! |

John davis -  What a waste of money, I wanted a body building workout. This is only a workout geared for woman. That was over a year ago.
I gave it to me sister and got P90. After I did P90 for six months along with diet layout. My bodyfat was 15% from 36%. I just got done doing P90X and I'm at 7% body fat. Beachbody.com has a great on-line board that helped get my goals.
All I can say is you can play at boot camp or you can change your body with P90 / P90X. |
